Due to its slightly sweetness and its freshness, this wine can be combined wonderfully with Zeeland Salty Delights such as shrimp and crab. Spicy dishes and salads are also good combinations with this wine. Delicious with shrimp.
"De Kleine Schorre" transformed from a Brussels sprouts farm into a renowned wine farm.
At the end of the nineties the agricultural sector in Zealand was a big problem area. The neighbor of potato and Brussels sprouts farmer Krijn-Jan van de Velde advised him to start a vineyard. After half a bottle of gin Krijn-Jan said: "come up with a plan". And that's what happened. On the 29th of May in the year 2001, the first vine was planted in the former Brussels sprouts field. In collaboration with the renowned Luxembourg wine company Cep d'Or there are now more than 42.000 vines and the Vineyard has grown to 10 ha and one of the largest of The Netherlands.
